Really really disappointed. This hotel used to be a real landmark with lots of historic pictures of the volcano visitors- many of them famous people and interesting facts. Restaurant was great then also. Now it like every other chain restaurant anywhere. Main lobby is a check in desk and Two gift shops. Restaurant still has great view of the crater but food was pretty nondescript. Brought guests here after talking about what a great place it was. So sad. Won't be suggesting it to any of my guests in the future
Very friendly, knowledgable and attentive service. Surprised how good the food was for a casual hotel restaurant at a high tourist attraction. Fresh made, locally sourced burger, cooked to order. Lunch combo slightly on the small size, but very tasty. Beautiful view of the Volcano.
Cool view of the volcano at night. I had a burger cooked medium that was good. My wife enjoyed the BBQ prawns, and our daughter enjoyed the kids pasta with marinara sauce. Cocktails and glasses of wine are expensive. Food and beer are about average price for the area.
It is a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere overlooking the Kilauea crater. The fireplace adds a great ambiance for those chilly evening dinners. The souvenir shop had some very nice items for a decent price.
Breakfast buffet was fantastic! Well worth the price. Includes a made to order omelette bar and made to order waffles, which are both always a plus! The staff was friendly and fast in bringing drinks and condiments. Will definitely be visiting again next time we're in the area. Oh and the view is amazing!!!!
