Very relaxing place, feels peaceful, especially when it rains. With its convenient location, this hostel is my favorite accommodation on Big Island.
Great family owned placed which is suitable for larger groups such as science investigators, scouts or school groups. Large kitchen and knowledgeable of the island owner of Japanese descent with a lovely Vietnamese wife. You can't go wrong here in my opinion, just book ahead of time to see how busy it is (There was nobody there when I stayed there and so I had a whole kitchen to myself).
Comfortable heated rooms, wifi and full kitchen.
We stayed in the private room with a private bathroom. Room and bathroom were immaculate. I've heard the dorm rooms are a little less choice. On the whole, it's got everything you need for a place on the cheaper side. The full kitchen is especially nice.
Very nice place. Owner was friendly and helpfully. The room was very well prepared and clean (AirBnB Priv-1).
There's a TV upstairs and an actual computer terminal should you need to use it. Wifi and tea/coffee is provided for free.
